Co-organised by Expertise France and the Ministry of Health on October 6-8 2015, this national workshop aimed to take stock of the contribution made by the OPP-ERA project and other initiatives such as the support provided by Expertise France, in the broader context of the expansion of access to HIV viral load testing in Cameroun. During three days, more than 50 participants, representing key stakeholders, patients representatives, clinicians as well as laboratories personnel, shared their experience in implementing viral load testing as an essential diagnostic tool for HIV patients, including through case studies and brainstorming working groups. The workshop also provided a platform to foster the dialogue between these stakeholders, coordinate their actions based on the national strategy and offered the opportunity to reflect on potential solutions to difficulties that should be addressed to improve access at the national level.
